SCREAMING SILENCE III

Two worlds united in a single piece of work: At the
heart of Lohmann‘s oeuvre are his large-format photo
collages. The images of destroyed theatres of war would
be too explicit and too powerful to leave them unfiltered
in their wall-sized dimensions. By alienating them,
Lohmann removes some of their overwhelming immediacy
and only thereby makes them accessible for closer viewing.
